Vinh

Our friend's uncle was being buried in the highlands about 2 hours drive towards the Cambodian border from Vinh.
Still jet lagged, we got on a 2 hours domestic flight; Ho Chi Minh-Vinh, let just say that during Monsoon season, flights tend to get shaky.
I was more than happy to get off the plane!!

... and getting in to a more than crowded minibus, literally sitting on top of each other. Nice way of getting to know some of the other people attending the funeral.

Before the 16th person was to get in to the minibus (which was just one person to many, and we had to rent a second car), we finally had our very first authentic Vietnamese meal; most things being presented in front of us I still don't know what they were. Plants growing in water, strange fishes, bitter bulb looking vegetables... this culinary adventure would go on for several days, each day with new discoveries!
