A-Maze-ing Jeju

Every heard of the volcanic island just south off the Korean coast; Jeju?
It has already received several UNESCO certifications, and is one of the official finalists of the worldwide "New7Wonders of Nature" campaign.
Not only is this the ideal place for weddings and honey moons for Korean couples, Jeju also offers an excellent theme park with the world's longest labyrinth (2,261 meters)!

Longest Maze in thw world

And just a couple of weeks ago Jeju Island was celebrating it's annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Celebrated in honor of the largest and most luxurious of all cherry blossoms; the Jeju King Cherry Tree, which blossoms for only 3 days each year!

If I were in Korea, I'd definitely go to Jeju Island for my days off!^^

Prayers for Japan

Last week the Korean "comfort women", or women who were victims of sexual slavery during the Japanese occupation, held 10 minutes of silence for the Japanese victims and their families last week, as supposed to their weekly Wednesday protesting outside the Japanese Embassy in Seoul.

"We hate their past wrongs, not the people. We offer our deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones" said Mrs Gil Won Ok, 84.

Morocco going Korean?

The Koreans have decided to share both money and experience with the Moroccan Automobile Industry and Trade Association (AMICA) in order to help founding a new Institute for Automobile Development and Formation. With the construction of a new Renault site in both Casablanca and Tanger, Morocco might just become one future leader in the Automobile industry thanks to the Koreans?

To be honest, looks like they can only do better...

Sorry Sorry

This is a clip filmed live from the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center in the Philippines. The over 1000 inmates were first viewed when dancing the entire choreography to Michael Jackson's "Thriller", trained by Byron Garcia.
Mr Garcia got a very "off the books" idea of how to rehabilitate inmates at CPDRC and, well it looks to me like the inmates are a bit more happy than usual, no?

Korean Wave Concert in Bangkok

Having just recently discovered the world of K-pop, I became even more interested when I heard about the "Korean Wave Concert" in Bangkok on March 11th.
Several of my favorite groups, such as SNSD or T-ara for example. If you don't know what this is all about, the Korean Wave Concert is 20 of the most popular K-pop artists holding a 4 hour long concert with their latest and biggest hits, mixing and having fun together... If I ever move to Asia, I'm definitely going there.
Here's the a Thai teaser;
