Fancy meal

Early risers as we are, at least since we arrived in Vietnam, we realized that waking up early in the morning gives you time to do plenty of things in one day!
Well yes, this is a new experience for both of us.^^

First impression of Hanoi was; CROWDED. There are more than 5 million habitants in Hanoi, and I believe their all out in the streets all day long on their motorbikes!!

Our friends and local guides were not that familiar with this Vietnams 2nd biggest city and decided to ask for help from a friend; Nghia (do not ask me to pronounce his name)^^.

Nghia took us out for some fancy business lunch in one of Hanois most well known restaurants where we had an over flow of dishes set out for us, all lovely presented.

Banana flower salad, served inside the banana flower.

Spring rolls served on an uplit pineapple.

Fried rice with lotus grains and dried shrimps, served inside the lotus leaf and decorated with lotus petals.

I could go on forever, the table was gigantic and we felt like there wasn't enough room for all dishes that were being put out for us.
An orchestra was playing traditional string instruments for us, such as the Dan bau.
