Traffic jam?!

I think that in every guide book, or site, blog... talking about Ho Chi Minh you'll learn that traffic is bad. Well maybe not bad, but terrifying!^^
That is what I thought, crossing the road the first time when Steve and I came here on holidays last year to, but my 3 years in Marrakech have actually taught me something (maybe more than just that); driving my motorbike in traffic looking, from the outside, terrifying. And even though I believe we have about 1.000.000 times more motorbikes and scooters here than in Marrakech, I actually find it easier to driver here.
Last week I promised my mum I'll put up a video of the traffic here, but I got the advise from local people to avoid showing off my phone in public since the holidays are the biggest feast for pick pockets and "grab and run"-ners. So, folk, you'll just gonna have to stay patient!^^

In the mean time here are some photos taken this morning from the taxi window, showing the traffic on one of the bridges I pass every day.

Oh and Merry Xmas everyone!!!
