The Berber carpet

You've all seen the big package that I was bringing back to Sweden in my suitcase... literally taking up the entire suitcase!^^
Well, here are a few shots to show you the result.

This is one of the traditional Berber patterns. It all depends on in which region and village the carpet was made. Of course the color we decided on would go best with the living room was "natural"-white... the most rare and hard to find. Out of a store with a few hundreds of different carpets, they could only find 3 that would match my demands... and as usual, even if I clearly explained what I was looking for we had the time to drink tea whilst carpet after carpet, in different colors, sizes and qualities were rolled out in front of us.^^
