What to see on the Halong Bay?

Whether you go on your own or with a group, one has to go visit the Trung Tran cave that nature has sculptured for hundreds and hundreds of years. The stalagmites and stalactites are nowadays lit up with colorful lights.
So after lunch, it was time to give up our privacy to get a glance of this pretty extraordinary site.

Back on the boat, Steve asked our captain to take us somewhere where he could take a dip, and on our way there we passed by one of the many floating villages in the area.

Vietnam is famous for it's many floating villages and markets in the delta areas.

The boat stopped in a quiet place for Steve to dive in. It felt like we were the only people on earth at that moment.
A couple of minutes later, we got brought back to reality by a, what we believed was a chinese group of tourists. One of the passengers had decided to take the opportunity to sing some kind of amateur opera from his boat.

Yes, we got ourselves a good laugh, it was far from the Garnier Opera in Paris!^^

Our staff on the boat.
