Pensioners seek work at Fukushima

I just recently heard of the Japanese Skilled Veteran Corps; over 200 retired engineers and other professionals who have volunteered to handle the nuclear crisis at the Fukushima power station.
They say they are the one who should be dealing with the radiation, and not the young.

Mr Yasuteru Yamada was the man who first decided it was time for his generation to step up for it's country. He says that "I probably have 13 to 15 years left to live"..."even if we were exposed to radiation, cancer could take up to 20 or 30 years or longer to develop."

Mr Yamada was sending out e-mails and even using Twitter to get back in touch with old friends, in order to gather the Skilled Veteran Corps.

I get all warm inside thinking of this beautiful way of thinking and acting. Thank you Mr Yamada.
