We got on a tiny propeller aircraft in Ho Chi Minh that would bring us to our destination; Siem Reap.
90 minutes later we had crossed the Cambodian border, and landed somewhere in the middle of the country, having not really realized that we had actually gone to another country, until we needed to arrange visas.
The Siem Reap Airport is one of the prettiest one I have ever seen, it looks like a wooded colored pagoda and must have built no longer than 10 years ago.
I'm very sorry I haven't got any photos to show you for the moment, but I'll do my best to get some nice ones before leaving.
Arrived at the airport, one needs to purchase a tourist visa, there were about 8 of us, out of the 20 passengers on the plane, who hadn't arranged one before arrival, and while filling out the visa request from, 20 border police officers, or visa officers or what ever you call them were sitting in front of us waiting to get to work.^^
The whole situation was just hilarious. And by the time you had handed in your form with the 20 USD required for your visa and walked the 10m to the other end of the counter, they were already putting the final stamps and gluing the visa to your passport. It took me longer time to fill out the form then for them to arrange my visa!!
However, we didn't dare to take a photo, since we had no idea of what kind of a country we were in, and we decided to avoid taking photos of persons in official uniforms, sorry!
